Unknown gunmen killed two policemen in Herat city this morning.
Abdul Rawouf Ahmadi, spokesman for the police headquarters of Herat told Khaama Press that assailants who were riding on a motorbike escaped from the scene after the attack.
He said that still they don’t know who the attackers were but an investigation was initiated.
The policemen were assigned to the custom department of Herat.
Attacks of unknown gunmen have increased in Herat.
Yesterday in such like attack an Ex-Jihadi commander Ghulam Sayed along with his wife died and his daughter injured in Anjil District of Herat province.
The attackers riding on a motorbike sprayed bullets on the vehicle of Ghulam Sayed in which he was driving with his wife and daughter.
Abdul Rawouf, spokesman for the Herat Police Headquarters told Khaama Press that Ghulam Sayed and his wife died following the attack but his daughter injured who is currently under treatment in the hospital.
Unknown gunmen who were riding on a motorbike ran away after the attack but Abdul Rawouf said that that they are investigating.
These days gunmen use motorcycles in most of their attacks in Herat province.
