Two members of Pakistan’s security forces were killed, and 19 others were wounded on Saturday when a suicide bomber riding a motorbike loaded with explosives hit their convoy in the unrest-ridden tribal region of northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, officials said.

According to the report, the convoy travelled to South Waziristan when the bomber hit them in the Chakhan area of Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Officials said that two security forces were killed and 19 others were injured; three were in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the injured police personnel were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, and law-enforcement agencies have investigated the area.

A similar incident occurred on Wednesday. As a result, two soldiers were killed, including two civilians in North Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Recently, the TTP has intensified their attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and civilians in the county. Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan increased operations against the militants to eliminate them from the country, officials said.
