The Taliban militants group in Afghanistan claimed responsibility behind the deadly fire incident in capital Kabul which left hundreds of oil tankers ablaze.
Taliban group spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the attack was carried out on a parking area for the NATO supply convoy.
However, Kabul police officials deny the claims by the Taliban group and said investigations have been launched regarding the incident.
According to security officials around 200 oil tankers were damaged following the incident; however, eyewitnesses in the area and owners of the tankers are saying that around 400 tankers have been damaged.
The incident took place late Friday night in Arghande area in Paghman district of Kabul province.
Deputy spokesman for the interior ministry of Afghanistan said the oil tankers were bound for eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan when the incident took place.
