President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has accepted a blood donation campaign to Afghan national security forces and called for a nationwide blood donation campaign.
President Ghani said he is feeling to accept the call for donating his blood to Afghan national security forces, including Afghan army, Afghan police and Afhgan intelligence forces.
He said the culture of blood donation which was first launched by former vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili should be followed.
The second vice president Mohammad Sarwar Danish also donated his blood to central blood bank to commemorate Ashura day.
President Ghani and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah were challenged in a blood donation campaign by famous singer Farhad Darya on Wednesday to collect blood for the Afghan national security forces.
The Minister of Interior (MoI) Omar Daudzai and Minister of Defense (MoD) were also challenged by Darya to participate in the campaign.
