Ghazni security chief assassins killed by Afghan police

Afghanistan policeAccording to local security officials in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan, Afghan police forces on Wednesday killed at least 6 suspected militants involved behind the assassination of provincial security chief Mohammad Hussain.

Provincial security commandment officials confirming the report said the suspected militants were killed in Gadol area at eastern Ghazni city after being recognized by Afghan security forces.

Mohammad Hussain was killed along with his two security guards on Sunday following a roadside bomb blast in Ghazni province.

The incident took place early Sunday morning in Zana Khan district while provincial security chief Mohammad Hussain was on his way towards the same district.

Taliban militants group claimed responsibility behind the incident and said Taliban fighters were aware of Mohammad Hussain’s travel towards Zana Khan district.
