Ahmad Zia Massoud, a close ally of Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai in presidential runoff election, ruled out the formation of a coalition government.
Massoud said said their team has never supported a shared government but any official from Abdullah’s team will be welcomed to cooperate for a better future of Afghanistan.
He also insisted that only people’s votes will serve as basis for the future government of Afghanistan.
Massoud urged the electoral bodies for the release of partial vote results on Monday and said the people of Afghanistan have became frustrated with more delays.
He also also added that their team became a frontrunner in election runoff as they created a national team and were supported by Mujahideen leaders.
Massoud criticized Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s team for using offensive language during electoral campaign for second round of election.
He said the team members of Dr. Abdullah insulted religious and Mujahideen leaders during the electoral compaign.
Ahmad Zia Massoud is a prominent political and was contender in the first round of election who joined Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai’s team in election runoff.
He was contesting in the first round of election as vice president to former foreign minister Dr. Zalmai Rassoul.
