Thursday, June 09 – According to Lutfullah Mashal spokesperson for National Security Department, an alleged person who was trying to assassinate the Ustad Ata Muhammad Noor governor of Balkh province has been arrested by Afghan security forces.
He also said that an alleged person who was planning a suicide attack on a vehicle of Nangarhar police academy has also been arrested by the personnel of the National Security Department.
During a press conference, Mr. Mashal further added that another alleged person who used to organize suicide bombing attack in Nimruz province has been arrested along with another one in Faryab province.
The plan to attack Balkh governor Ustad Ata Muhammad was also organized by one of the arrested persons. The alleged person is the resident of Helmand province, he has been trained in Quetta city of Pakistan and was sent to Faryab province for carrying out terrorist activities.
While the other arrested man who organized an attack on the vehicle of Nangarhar police academy is resident of Nangarhar province. Some explosives were also seized from the person when he was arrested.
Some explosives and suicide waist coats were also seized from the organizers of suicide attack in Nimruz and Faryab province.
