Afghan senators on Sunday accused Afghan security institutions for being reckless amid concerns regarding growing violence in the country.
The senators criticized Afghan government’s weak policy towards the Pakistan’s intelligence (ISI) and Taliban group which has direct impact over the security situation of Afghanistan.
They also criticized Afghan security forces and NATO-led coalition security forces for remaining helpless to bring stability in the country.
Senators Hedayatullah and Belqis said, “There will be no stability in Afghanistan unless the Afghan government does not satisfy Pakistan intelligence (ISI). Pakistan is using al Qaeda and Taliban as tool and therefore there will be no stability in the country unless the main source of violence which is Pakistan’s ISI is not satisfied.”
They also added, “It is not fair to give credit to the enemies of Afghanistan all the time which will further boost Taliban’s stamina over the Afghan
security institutions.”
The amin agenda of the Afghan senate house on Sunday focused on spring offensive of the militants groups and the senators urged the Afghan government to take necessary steps in this regard.
Afghan senators also decided to summon Afghan security officials in the defense committee to brief the lawmakers regarding the security concerns.
However Afghan interior ministry spokesman said Afghan security forces capabilities are growing each day and are able to counter militants activities despite they are supported by regional intelligence agencies.
