Israel’s northern command says its military is preparing for potential Iranian retaliation if the United States launches an attack, heightening regional tensions.

Rafi Milo, commander of Israel’s northern army command, said the Israeli military is on high alert to respond to any Iranian retaliation.

He highlighted that US forces across the Middle East have been reinforced, and Israel is closely monitoring potential escalations and Hezbollah’s possible involvement.

Israeli authorities have warned international airlines that the region could enter a “more sensitive period” through the end of the week, urging precautionary measures.

Shmuel Zakai,  the Director General of the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority said Israel could close its airspace again if necessary, while carriers like El Al, Arkia, and Israir are allowing flexible ticket cancellations.

According to Channel 14, the US has deployed unprecedented military assets in the region, giving American forces almost complete operational freedom for potential strikes.

US targets would likely include Iranian leaders, senior commanders, military facilities, infrastructure, missile systems, and key Revolutionary Guard and Basij units, analysts say.

These developments come amid ongoing regional tensions, with Israel and its allies coordinating closely to monitor Iran’s military responses and prevent further escalation.

Israel maintains that it will respond proportionally to any threats, emphasizing readiness to protect civilians, borders, and strategic interests across the northern command zone.
