Several university students started physical fighting among each other in a hostel compound in capital Kabul on Sunday.
There are conflicting reports regarding the cause of the clash with reports suggesting that the clashes broke out due to a football game.
There are also reports the university students started fighting following a verbal clash over food.
It is yet not clear if anyone was hurt following the clashes or not and it is believed that students have also used knives to beat each other.
Aerial firing by police to disperse the students was also reported while eyewitnesses said ambulances reached to the area following the incident.
Security officials have not commented regarding the incident.
