In a video message on Sunday, May 26, the Ukrainian President invited his counterparts Joe Biden and Xi Jinping from the United States and China to participate in the Ukraine Peace Summit.

Volodymyr Zelensky stated, “No country can stop such a war alone and without help.”

In his video message, Zelensky accused Moscow of lying during negotiations with Kyiv and emphasized the importance of international efforts, such as the upcoming Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland, adding that Russia would not be able to deceive the leaders attending this summit.

So far, over 80 countries have expressed their readiness to participate in the Ukraine Peace Summit, which will be held on June 15-16 in Switzerland.

This comes as Russian attacks on the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine continue.

Media reports indicate that the death toll from a Russian airstrike on a hardware store in Kharkiv has risen to 16. Dozens were also injured in the incident.

Russia targeted this store, located in a residential area, with two guided bombs on Saturday afternoon.

Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine, is situated 20 kilometres from the Russian border.
