Local sources in Baghlan province in northern Afghanistan reported that the lifeless body of a young girl was discovered in Pol-e-Khomri city, the provincial capital of Baghlan, with a gunshot wound.

The sources said that a young girl was mysteriously killed and her dead body was discovered in the Bala Dori neighborhood of the 2nd district of Pol-e-Khomri city.

The identity of the young girl who was shot dead has not yet been established, and the murder’s motive is also unknown according to the security officials, who said their department is conducting investigations.

The Taliban Police Chief office in Ghor province in central Afghanistan reported that a man’s body was discovered in Alandar village, which is located west of Firuzkoh city, the provincial capital of Ghor, on Friday evening, October 21.

The found body has reportedly been taken to a hospital for identification, according to the Taliban Ghor Police Chief’s press office.

Previously, a man was mysteriously killed by unknown gunmen in the northern Afghan province of Faryab in early October.

Given the rise in crime in Afghanistan, people are worried about the security situation in many of the country’s provinces, particularly in the north.

Despite the Taliban’s assertions that they have maintained security in Afghanistan, many of their own members and officials have fallen victim to violence ever since they seized power in the country.
