767ae42e76e2a7d3b0a3b094d3b619c11adffa01A young Afghan journalist was among four people who were killed following a suicide attack in capital Kabul early Sunday morning.

The 20-year-old Ahmad Shahid was killed following the blast while he was on his way to his work place in Radio Nawa and Saba Television.

The Nai organization which supports open media in Afghanistan condemned the death of Ahmad Shahid in the attack and urged the government of Afghanistan to take necessary actions in providing security for the Afghan journalists.

This comes as unknown gunmen assassinated a local Afghan journalist in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan on Thursday.

Ahmad Shahid had recently adopted journalism as his career and was working in Nawa Radio and Saba Television. He was also a student of Education faculty in Kabul university.

At least four people including two Afghan army personnel and two civilians were killed and 22 others were injured following the suicide attack which targeted an Afghan army bus in Karte Naw area of Kabul city on Sunday morning.

The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility behind the attack and said dozens of the Afghan army personnel were killed or injured in the attack.
