A woman has been arrested in connection to the murder of her husband in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan, local security officials said.
The officials further added that the woman murdered her husband with the help of her brother-in-law in Mazar-e-Sharif city.
Provincial Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Salahuddin Sultan said the brother of the victim has also been arrested in connection to the incident.
Sultan further added that the incident took place on Tuesday night in Ali Sher Nawai area of Mazar city where the culprit later filed an FIR with police claiming that their house was attacked by thieves and her husband was murdered.
He said police is currently engaged to further investigate the incident and there are suspicions that the woman had illegitimate relations with her brother-in-law.
In the meantime, the convict later confessed that she beheaded her husband as she was subject to domestic violence.
