Mohammad Amin Wiqad, head of the association of the councils of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan said that the current situation in the is concerning and that world should honestly contribute to stability in Afghanistan.
While talking to a press conference in Kabul, Wiqad said that the association of the councils of Hizb-e-Islami wants an end to fighting and the replacement of war with a permanent peace in the country.
Wiqad also said that distributing arms among locals and building local militias will not benefit the current situation but instead it will add up to the problems of Afghanistan.
Wiqad added that Afghanistan has a bad experience from local militias and that he supports defense of the country by national security forces.
According to this former Jihadi commander, local militias threaten the lives of ordinary citizens.
In today’s gathering which was also attending by other former Jihadi commanders and government officials the recent Kabul attacks were strongly condemned.
The participants said that those behind terrorist attacks are the enemies of Afghanistan and that the nation should stand by the security forces against these terrorists.
