War claim lives of civilians, ANDSF members in the past 24 hours: Afghanistan

At least four members of one Family were killed in a blast in Kandahar on Thursday Evening.

The incident happened in Shahwali Kot District of southern Kandahar province.

Reports indicate at least four civilians were killed in a roadside bomb blast.

This comes many civilians and security force members were killed and wounded in the past 24 hours.

Unknown gunmen assassinated a former Jihadi commander “Sultan Mohammad Qand” in Mir Bacha Kot district of Kabul province.

He has reportedly played key role in resolving disputes among the people in the area.

Qand’s security guard is also wounded in the assassination attempt, the incident occurred between two security checkpoints.

Meanwhile, six security force members were killed and eight wounded in Taliban attacks in Faryab, Balkh, Badghis provinces.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Taliban are not willing for peace and violence reduction, they continuously attack security forces and the people of Afghanistan on daily basis. Taliban also have suffered during these skirmishes.

The New York Times reported that since the US-Taliban deal in February last year 4000 Afghan security members were killed and hundreds were wounded in the battles, and hundreds of Afghan civilians were also killed and wounded during this time.
