Voting for the presidential elections is currently underway across Afghanistan amid tight security precautions.

The voting begun at around 7 am today with the officials in Independent Election Commission saying the voters will have until 3 pm to cast their votes.

According to Independent Election Commission information around 9.6 million people have registered their names for today’s presidential elections.

Meanwhile, reports emerging from some provinces indicate that the names of some voters are missing from the list of voters and this could bar them from casting their votes.
