Reports suggest that Daesh has surrounded Najhi and Dago villages and there is no way for villagers to escape.
Sources wishing not to be named said heavy clashes have been erupting between the two groups since last night.
Chaparhar is not the only district of Nangarhar province where Taliban and Daesh are fighting. They have also taken positions against each other in several other districts.
Haji Zahir Qadir, the first deputy of the House of Representatives says that Nangarhar has turned into a stronghold of Daesh.
In Sunday’s session, Zahir Qadir said that civilians are having a tough life in parts of Nangarhar because of Daesh.
He set a deadline of until the 15th of Eid for government to cope with the situation after which he warned of taking arm against the group.
