The incident reportedly occurred in the Sia Chashma region of Lal wa Sarjangal district of the Ghor province, in central Afghanistan.
The doctor’s close relatives claim that when he went to his farm to irrigate his fields at night, four unidentified individuals killed him with a blade.
They further said that the deceased’s body was taken to Kabul, where a funeral was held at the Omid Sabz settlement, in the west of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
The Ghor Police report that no one has been detained on suspicion of being involved in this homicide.
On the other hand, the Taliban forces are looking into this case to find the murderers and deliver them over to the law enforcement for a trial.
This comes as on Tuesday, a religious scholar named Mawlawi Abdul Matin Muhammadi, was also murdered by unknown gunmen in the heart of Ghor province.
