Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat announced on Monday, that Uzbekistan is increasing the energy strength of its exported electricity to Afghanistan to 400Mw.

Earlier, Uzbekistan power distribution was decreased to less than 300Mw due to technical problems at five power stations that resulted in continues load shedding in the country.

Uzbekistan announced that they would increase the import of electricity from 300 Mw to 400 Mw in the coming.

Breshna National Company claims that the increase of the imported electricity would alleviate the issues of load shedding in Kabul city, and some other provinces.

Breshna Company emphasized that serious efforts are ongoing to normalize the electricity distribution and energy outage problems.

The power outages in 12 provinces including Kabul was due to technical complications in the Uzbek power plants.

Media outlets previously has referred the issues of the power shortages to Afghan electricity providers.

Afghanistan annually imports up to $300 Million worth of electrical energy from some of its bordering countries.
