Maria Zakharova, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, states that the United States has pushed the security situation in the Middle East to a “point of no return” with its actions. She made these remarks in response to evacuating non-essential personnel from the US embassies in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The US State Department has allowed non-essential US embassy personnel in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, along with their families, to leave Israel and return to the US due to the unstable security situation in Israel, Tass reported.

The US State Department has explained that it made this decision due to the “unpredictable security situation in Israel.” Earlier, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, also stated that the worsening of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is a result of America’s policies.

“The regional security guarantor has driven security to the point of no return. And will no one in Washington be again held accountable for their atrocities, provocations and shows?” Zakharova commented on the decision made by the US State Department.

Russia sent a draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council on Friday regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict. In this resolution, Russia proposes condemning violence against civilians and all terrorist activities while advocating for a humanitarian ceasefire.

Tensions escalated in the Middle East following an attack by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip on Israeli territory. Hamas saw this attack as a response to Israeli actions concerning the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

In retaliation, Israel imposed a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip and initiated airstrikes in the enclave and some areas of Lebanon and Syria. Concurrently, clashes have been reported in the West Bank, further intensifying the conflict in the region.
