The United States Charge’ d’Affaires Ross Wilson on his Twitter post said that he and the embassy staff are still in Kabul and are helping Americans and vulnerable Afghans who are leaving the country.

The Tweet further reads that their commitments to Afghan people endure and the US embassy is continuing engagement in Afghanistan.

The US embassy’s mission is now solely focused on evacuating thousands of US nationals and the vulnerable Afghans who will also be relocated to a third country or directly to the US.

For the mission to get functioned flawlessly, US president Joe Biden has directed the deployment of up to 6 thousand troops and warned the Taliban to face a swift response if attacked.

The US envoy to Afghanistan though did not say anything about their current location in Kabul, there were reports about the embassy’s staff to be relocated to Kabul airport.

Ross Wilson issued an alert asking people to not go to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul until they get an e-mail from the embassy.

The alert comes a day after three people clinging to the tires of a US plane fall to death.

There were thousands of people congregated in Kabul airport looking for any single chance to board any plane out of Afghanistan among them hundreds have boarded a plane on Monday night and flown out.
