US embassy in Kabul confirmed that the two civilian contractors were working for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) forces.
The following a statement, said, “The United States Embassy condemns the terror attack in Kabul today that killed two civilian contractors employed by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and wounded a number of Afghans and foreign nationals.”
The statement further addded, “We will continue to work with our Afghan and international partners to ensure a peaceful future for Afghanistan.”
A suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the convoy of the coalition security forces in the 12th district of Kabul city Monday afternoon, leaving at least three civilians dead and several others injured.
The attack took place the near the Pul-e-Charkhi prison on Kabul-Jalalabad highway. Hezb-e-Islami party of Afghanistan led Gulbuddin Hekmatyar claimed responsibility behind the attack.
