The United States announced weapons and equipment worth $150 million in its recent military aid package to Ukraine.

“I am authorizing today, pursuant to a delegation from the President, a drawdown to provide further immediate military assistance to Ukraine, valued at up to $150 million worth of additional arms and equipment from U.S. Department of Defense inventories,”, President Biden stated.

The latest $150 million US security assistance for the “brave people of Ukraine” would include artillery munitions and radars, according to Biden. According to a senior US official, it contained counter-artillery radars intended to pinpoint the source of enemy fire as well as electronic jamming devices.

The US is delivering the weaponry and equipment approved by Congress right to the front lines of freedom in Ukraine, President Biden declared.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the aid package, stating that it brings the total US security support to Ukraine to roughly $3.8 billion in firearms and equipment since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

According to UN estimates, at least 3,309 civilians were killed and 3,493 others have been injured in Ukraine since the violence started.

UN refugee agency reports that more than 5.7 million Ukrainians have fled to other countries, with 7.7 million internally displaced.
