Kira Rudik, a female Ukrainian parliamentarian posted her photo on Twitter with a Kalashnikov in hand with a message that Ukrainian women will stand along with the men in the country to fight Russian forces.

The photo has gone viral over the internet and has got a 15K retweet so far.

I learn to use #Kalashnikov and prepare to bear arms. It sounds surreal as just a few days ago it would never come to my mind. Our #women will protect our soil the same way as our #men.

Kira Rudik is a member of Ukraine’s parliament and the leader of a political party called Golos Zmin.

This comes as Russia triggered a full-scale war against Ukraine, bombarded many strategic military infrastructures inside the Ukraine soil following a war order signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky got armed himself and announced resistance against Russian forces, but said he has left alone in a fight against Russia pleading for help from the international community.

The latest reports indicate that Russian forces have moved forward towards the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, however, the Ukrainian military forces are still fighting them back.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Ukrainian forces to overthrow its leadership calling the Ukrainian government puppet of America and the West.

On the other hand, Biden Administration announced serious sanctions against Russia and its main political figures including Vladimir Putin.
