Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday said that Moscow must achieve all its goals in Ukraine, adding there is no other alternative to end the Ukraine conflict.

Peskov further added the “Special Military Operation” must be completed in Ukraine, and there is no alternative solution to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

Russian started invading Ukraine on February 24, 2022, under a unique operation called “Special Military Operation”, entering the 16th month and resulting in the death and injury of thousands of people from both sides. Millions of people have been displaced and several Ukrainian cities have been completely destroyed.

During an interview with Channel One TV (Russia-1), the Press Secretary of President Putin said, “We should know our path, implement our tasks, and fulfill our objectives”.

Russia claims that Ukraine should recognize the Crimea peninsula as part of Russia and Luhansk and Donetsk as independent countries, and refrain from joining NATO.

In February 2022, President Putin formally recognized Luhansk and Donetsk located in the eastern part of Ukraine as independent states.

Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that Moscow’s offensive attacks in Ukraine will continue according to and in a timely plane.

However, in response, the Western countries say Russia has failed to achieve its military objectives in Ukraine.

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in his visit to Finland recently said, “Putin’s aggressive war in Ukraine was a strategic failure.”
