U.S. Service Member killed in Action in Afghanistan

A service member of the U.S. Military lost his life in Afghanistan today, the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission said.

The NATO-led Resolute Support Mission said in a statement that the U.S. Service Member lost his life in action.

The statement did not disclose further information, adding that “In accordance with U.S. Department of Defense policy, the name of the service member is being withheld until 24 hours after family notification is complete.”
