Local Taliban officials in Ghor province said two people were killed and five others were injured in two separate events in the province’s Passaband and Taiwara districts.

The first incident occurred on Friday, June the 10th, after a van was driven off the road in the Kotal Jibja area of Taiwara district, killing one person and injuring five others, according to Abdul Wahid Hamas, spokesman for the governor of Ghor.

The deterioration of the road, according to Hamas, was the reason of the vehicle deviating and the occurrence of the accident.

The Ghor governor’s spokesman, on the other hand, stated that the second event occurred as a result of a person falling from the top of his vehicle in the Sini area of this province’s Passaband district, and that this individual died.

Further information on the second event, specifically how he fell is not provided. According to Hamas, the body of this person is still at the scene, and his family has not been found.
