Two local Tehreek-e-Taliban aka Pakistan Pakistnai Taliban commanders were killed in a battle with Pakistani security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistani military reported on Tuesday, May 17.

Pakistani Taliban commanders were killed in battle in the North Waziristan region, which borders Afghanistan, according to the Pakistani military.

The Pakistani Taliban’s ally in Afghanistan, the Afghan Taliban, regained control of the country in August 2021.

Following the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the Pakistani Taliban became emboldened and initiated attacks against Pakistani security forces.

Thousands of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan fanatics are sheltering in Afghanistan, according to Pakistani officials, and frequently coordinate operations against Pakistani forces from Afghan territory.

The Taliban, on the other hand, have consistently stated that no group will be allowed to use Afghan territory against other countries.
