The anti-government armed militants killed two aid workers in northern Faryab province of Afghanistan, local officials said.
The two aid workers were reportedly working with the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) organization and were killed in Kohistan district late Monday.
Kohistan district chief, Imamyar Taqwa confirmed the two aid workers were abducted by anti-government armed militants were later shot dead.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the execution of the two aid workers.
Faryab is among the relatively volatile provinces in northern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militants are active in a number of its districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities.
