Local officials confirmed to media, that Twin blasts rattle Nangarhar province on Wednesday.

According to a statement, the initial blast happened at around 3 pm, when a vehicle hit a roadside bomb in the Sherzad district.

In the incident, two Afghan civilians were killed and further four people were injured.

30 minutes after the first blast another vehicle carrying civilians hit an IED in the Khogyani district of Nangarhar province.

At least two civilians were killed and three more were injured in the incident, officials to media.

This comes as government and Taliban peace negotiators work to find solutions to prolonged prosperity in the nation but unfortunately, violence across the country has escalated.
