Pakistan’s interior minister, Rana Sanaullah, once again claimed that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is attacking the country from Afghanistan.

“The position of the Afghan government is that they say we do not support Tehreek-e-Taliban against the government of Pakistan, but we have complaints about them; the people of this group entered Pakistan from Afghanistan; almost two months ago, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan told us that we are moving them further away from the border so that they do not have access to attack Pakistan,” Rana Sanaullah, said in an interview.

The Pakistani defence minister said that militant groups were using Afghan soil to launch attacks against his country. However, the Taliban-ruled government in Kabul rejected the allegations and named them “incorrect” and “regrettable.”

“We have spoken to the Afghanistan government, and we will keep saying that … their soil is being used for cross-border terrorism,” Khwaja Asif said.

Earlier, He also urged the Taliban to take severe actions against outlawed TTP hideouts in the country.

Meanwhile, the Taliban authorities reiterated that they would allow any group or individual to use Afghanistan’s soil against neighbouring countries, including Pakistan.

“Afghan soil is not used against anyone, and we do not allow Afghan soil to be used against Pakistan or any other country,” said Zabihullah Mujahid.
