The U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to undergo a coronavirus test after meeting his Brazilian counterpart who tested positive for the disease, it has been reported.
Speaking in an event this afternoon, Trump admitted that he will likely received a coronavirus test ‘fairly soon’.
Emphasizing that he has no symptoms of contracting the disease, Trump said “We’re working on a schedule”. He was apparently pointing towards the testing of disease.
Earlier Friday, White House officials sprang into action soon after early rumors began to surface that Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro may have tested positive for coronavirus.
The Brazilian President had a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, according to CNN.
This comes as the virus is quickly spreading across the globe, including North America where dozens of positive cases have been reported during the recent days.
The Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday confirmed that his wife has tested positive for coronavirus after returning from the United Kingdom.
