Donald Trump on Wednesday left the White House for the Final time of his presidency, before Joe Biden’s inauguration.
Trump after taking a helicopter to nearby Andrews base, flew for Florida on Air Force One plane.
He became the first president to not join his successor during the inauguration since 1869, BBC reported.
Biden will take the oath of office by noon in Washington DC, following a deadly protest at Capitol hill in January 2021.
At least 25,000 soldiers have guarded the inauguration ceremony, and spectators were called not to attend the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kamala Harris will be the first female in US history to be sworn as the Vice President.
Trump during his last speech said, “it’s been a great honor to be president” according to CNN.
After the final farewell at Andrews with a gun-salute and military band, Trump has left for his Mar-a-Lago golf club in Palm Beach.
Soon Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of United States.
