A court in the state of New York has announced that former US President Donald Trump has been fined $350 million and banned from operating in the state for three years for “financial fraud.”

The Guardian reported on Friday, February 16, that Donald Trump, his adult children, and associates have been identified as criminals by a New York court for financial fraud over a decade.

According to reports, Mr. Trump and his sons exaggerated their net worth at $3.6 billion over the decade to deceive banks for better loan terms.

Additionally, Judge Arthur Engoron has called Mr. Trump’s case “mind-boggling” and emphasized that Eric and Donald Trump Jr. have each been banned from serving as directors or executives of companies in New York for two years and fined $4 million.

In response to the court’s ruling, Donald Trump has denounced the decision as unjust and denied any wrongdoing.

Previously, Mr. Trump had been fined a hefty $83.3 million in damages for defamation against American writer “E. Jean Carroll.”

This comes as Donald Trump is set to once again run in the United States presidential election.
