At least nine Taliban group members including two of their senior commanders were killed or wounded during the operations in northern Sar-e-Pul province of Afghanistan.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said the Afghan forces have cleared Gozar, Landji, and Bazar-e-Taghai villages during Pamir-38 operations in Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pul province.

The statement further added that two Taliban militants were killed during the operatins and two of their senior commanders, including the shadow district chief of the group for Sancharak Mawlavi Noor Ul Haq and the group’s military commission chief Mullah Noor Ahmad alias Khalid were critically wounded along with five other Taliban group members.

The 209th Shaheen Corps also added that the armed forces also discovered and detonated 5 improvised explosive devices during the same operations.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.
