Top Afghan security officials visit Pakistan after deadly attacks

The two senior security officials, including the intelligence chief Masoom Stanikzai and minister of interior Wais Ahmad Barmak are expected to hold talks with the Pakistani officials.
The Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal confirmed the arrival of the two senior security officials for the talks.
He said the national directorate of security chief Stanikzai, interior minister Barmak, and himself comprises a delegation for the talks with the Pakistani officials.
According to Zakhilwal, they will hold talks with the military, intelligence, and other officials of the country but did not elaborate further regarding the agenda of the talks.
In the meantime, reports indicate that the security officials have also taken with them some documents and evidences regarding the involvement of the Haqqani network leaders in recent attacks.
According to the reports, the officials have specific documents regarding the Intercontinental Hotel that would be shared with the Pakistani officials.
The Taliban group unleashed a wave of deadly attacks in Kabul and other provinces in the past one week that left scores dead and hundreds more wounded.
