Officials from the Emergency Management Department in Tehran have announced that at least 50 people were injured in a devastating fire in the southwest of the city.

Mohammad Esmail Tavakoli, head of the Emergency Management Department in Tehran, told the media that the incident occurred at noon on Monday, June 10, at a car tyre manufacturing factory.

According to officials, the injured have been transferred to the hospital.

So far, no details have been provided regarding the cause of the incident.

Previously, six Afghan workers lost their lives in a fire at a construction company in eastern Tehran.

Many Afghan citizens have migrated to Iran due to poverty and unemployment, and those without legal residence documents or identity cards live in difficult conditions.

In another recent incident, a large explosion occurred at a chemical plant in southern Tehran, causing extensive damage and resulting in the evacuation of nearby residents.

Additionally, heavy floods have recently hit northern Iran, leading to the displacement of thousands of people and significant damage to infrastructure.
