teenager girl bomber arrested in AfghanistanA 10-year-old girl was arrested in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, before she manage to carry out suicide attack in this province, officials in Helmand province said Monday.

A local police official in Helmand province, Gen. Hamidullah Sediqi, said the teenager bomber was looking to attack a security check post in Khanshin district.

Gen. Sediqi further added that the teenager bomber was recognized as Spoghmai, and was originally a resident of south-eastern Ghazni province.

He said the brother of Spoghmai who is a Taliban group member was looking to prepare her for the attack, and was arrested by police forces late Sunday night.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the detention of the teenager suicide bomber so far, however the group has in the past used several teenager boys to carry out suicide attack in Afghanistan.

Several teeanger suicide bombers were arrested by Afghan security forces who were later released by president Hamid Karzai.

According to the Afghan security officials, the teenager boys are brain washed in religious schools (Madrasas) in tribal regions of Pakistan, and are sent to Afghanistan for suicide bombing purposes.

Afghan security forces detained at least 40 teenager boys who were due to be smuggled by anti-government armed militant groups to Pakistan.
