Taliban’s military commander for Baghlan detained in Kabul

NDSThe National Directorate of Afghanistan (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has detained the military commander of Taliban militant group in northern Baghlan province.

A statement issued by the NDS on Wednesday states that Mohammad Yaseen S/O Amin Rahman was sent from Peshawar city of Pakistan to assign so-called district governors and police chiefs in Baghalan province.

The statement adds that after completing his task, Mohammad Yasin was on his way back to Pakistan when NDS personnel apprehended him with his aide in the jurisdiction of Kabul city.

According to the statement Mohammad Yasin had received the task from Mawlawi Mohammad Younis, the Taliban so-called governor for Baghlan province who is residing in Peshawar.

Statements issued by NDS usually do not contain the exact date of the achievement but they normally come after recent activities.
