One of the co-founders of the Taliban and head of the promotion of virtue and prevention of vice Mullah Noorudin Torabi has said that the laws of their previous regime-from 1996 until 2001- will not be defied and will be implemented fully.
Mullah Noorudin Torabi in an interview with Associated Press said that there was nothing wrong with the laws of the previous regime and has denied all the allegations against it.
Ha added that all the world is criticizing for the punishment we used to conduct in the playground of Kabul- Ghazi stadium- but added that they had never criticized their laws of punishment.
“No one can tell us how to implement the law and which laws have to be implemented. We obey the Islam religion and laws are made based on the Quran.” Said Torabi.
The department, promotion of virtue and prevention of vice, was one of the toughest departments of the previous regime of the Taliban which has replaced the ministry of women affairs in the current regime.
The ministry will deal with the behavior, physical appearance, manner, and piety of the people.
Cutting lambs, killing- by different means-, lashing, and stoning were the famous punishment the department would implement.
