The statement further added that the security forces arrested Hekmatullah on Sunday evening.

The interior ministry also added that Hekmatullah was attempting to smuggle dozens of boxes of Dshk ammunition to Taliban militants.

Furthermore, the interior ministry said the security forces also discovered a large quantity of ammunition from the house of Hekmatullah.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the arrest of the group’s weapons facilitator so far.

Taliban militants are active in some districts of the province and often conduct terrorist related activities.

Meanwhile, the Afghan forces routinely conduct counter-terrorism operations against the anti-government armed groups in this province.
