Taliban rocket leaves 5 kids dead in Kunduz province

Afghan children killedAt least five children were killed following a rocket attack by Taliban militants in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.

According to local government officials, the children were killed after a rocket landed on a residential house in Aliabad district.

District police chief, Majid Khan said heavy clashes broke out between Taliban militants and Afghan security forces around 5:00 am local time.

Khan further added that the clashes continued for almost one and half hour where Taliban militants also used rockets to target Afghan forces.

He said a rocket fired by Taliban landed on a residential house which left three children dead and four others including two women and two men injured.

In the meantime, Taliban militants group in Afghanistan rejected that the children were killed in Taliban militants attack and blamed Afghan forces for civilian casualties.
