A premature Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion killed three mine planters of Taliban in south-eastern Paktiya province.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the explosion took place on a highway in Afzal Khel area of Ahmadabad district.
The statement further added that the militants were busy planting an IED on the roadside when it went off prematurely.
Furthermore, the ministry of interior said the explosion instantly killed all three militants.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
