The Afghan forces have inflicted heavy casualties on Taliban militants in the outskirts of the provincial capital of Ghazni province.

The 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said the security forces conducted air and artillery strikes in Shahbaz area located in the outskirts of Ghazni city.

The statement further added that the security forces killed 8 Taliban militants and wounded 15 others during the operation.

Furthermore, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the security forces also destroyed five motorcycles of the militants.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the operation so far.
