The Afghan forces inflicted heavy casualties on Taliban militants during an operation in central Logar province.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said Friday that the operation was conducted in Mohammad Agha district of the province.

The statement further added that the Afghan forces targeted the militants in Aab Paran Village of the district.

According to Interior Ministry, the security forces killed 18 Taliban militants during the operation and wounded 4 more.

The security forces security forces also seized three Ak-47 rifles, 17 munition magazines, 440 ammunition, military uniforms and some other military kits.
