Taliban loses deputy intelligence chief, dozens more militants in Farah city clash

The security officials have confirmed that the security forces have cleared several areas in Farah city inflicting heavy casualties on Taliban militants.

Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said the security forces have killed Mawlavi Noor Ahmad Chakani, the deputy shadow intelligence chief of Taliban for Farah during the clearance operations.

Rahimi further added that the security forces have killed dozens more militants during the operations in other parts of the city.

Furthermore, Rahimi said the security forces have killed more than 10 militants only in the Recruitment Compound of the Afghan Army.

He also added that the security forces have also killed more than 13 militants in Bagh-e Pul area of the city.

According to Rahimi, the security forces are currently advancing in other areas where the Taliban militants have taken shelter.
