The Taliban members in western Herat province said on Saturday, September 25 that four kidnappers have been killed after they had an armed confrontation with them.

They said that the corpse was then hanged in the city so that it remains a lesson for others not to do so in the future.

Members of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have though punished and imprisoned criminals since their takeover, this is the first time they hang dead bodies inside a big city.

As per the local officials of the Taliban in Herat province, the slain ones had recently abducted a businessman along with his son from Police District 12 of the Herat city.

It comes as the Taliban rescued last week another boy kidnapped by kidnappers in western Herat province.

Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, the number of crimes has been seen to be decreased but people fear that it will rise again if working grounds are not paved for the people.
