Two militants were killed due to internal differences in northern Faryab province of Afghanistan, the Afghan military said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Taliban commanders, Zainuddin alias Khalid and Qari Mohibullah alias Hazifa, were killed by their own militants in Faryab province.

The statement further added that the two Taliban commanders were killed due to an internal difference which led to an armed clash in Almar district.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.

Faryab is among the relatively volatile provinces in North of Afghanistan where Taliban militants have active presence in some of its remote districts.
