Taliban commanders among 14 militants killed, wounded in Special Forces operations in Farah

At least 14 Taliban militants including two of their commanders were killed or wounded during the operations of the Afghan Special Forces in Western Farah province.

The 207th Zafar Corps in a statement said the operations were conducted in Genehkan and Waraj Villages located in the outskirts of the provincial capital of Farah.

The statement further added that six militants including one of their commanders Asad were killed in the operations and 8 others were wounded.

According to 207th Zafar, one of the commanders of the group identified as Rahmat was critically wounded during the operations.

The Afghan Special Forces also confiscated a radio communication set and a motorcycle during the same operations, the 207th Zafar Corps added.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.
